Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Montrose Medical Center in New York is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Nurse - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join the Mental Health team. This Open & Continuous Announcement will remain open through January 27, 2027 to fill an active PMHNP opening.

The role requires a post-master's certificate, master's, or doctoral degree in Nursing (APN), an active NP license in the United States, and PMHNP board

Qualifications

Post-master's certificate or master's or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
Active, full, unrestricted APN license to practice as an NP in the US.
PMHNP board certification from ANCC/AANPCB or equivalent.

Responsabilités

Independently manages a panel of patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions.
Provides assessments, evaluations, and care coordination for Veterans.
Develops and implements individualized plans to achieve optimal population health.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and nursing staff for medical clearance and care management.
Uses psychotropic medications, psychotherapy, and other modalities as appropriate.
Educates patients and families on medical/MH conditions and treatment plans.
