Job summary

Elite DNA Behavioral Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in psychiatric-mental health to join our growing team. The role involves diagnosing, prescribing, and providing comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care in a busy clinic.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team, deliver high-quality care to adults and potentially younger patients, and support patients through biopsychosocial approaches and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have experience diagnosing, treating, and prescribing for psychiatric-mental health patients.
• Must have experience working with all ages.
• Must have experience with Suboxone.
• Provide outpatient and residential care to patients with changing or urgent conditions.
• Work independently within an interdisciplinary medical team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions and prescribe medications.
• Provide emergency psychiatric services as needed.
• Document patient data in medical records and case presentations.
• Collaborate with physicians on complex cases and consult as needed.
• Participate in an interdisciplinary team delivering primary care to patients and families.
• Conduct histories, physicals, risk assessments, and order tests.
