Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited NP program with psychiatric/mental health specialization.
• Active PMHNP certification.
• Maryland NP license or Compact eligibility.
• New graduates welcome; experienced PMHNPs encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health assessments.
• Obtain and review patient medical and psychiatric histories.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychiatric and behavioral health conditions within scope of practice.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and make adjustments as clinically indicated.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Coordinate care and referrals when additional specialty services are required.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional and clinical standards.
