Job summary

The University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) seeks qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) faculty for a full-time position at the Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical rank. The role supports expansion of clinical and didactic education, student advising, and program development within the PMHNP specialty.

SONHS offers modern classrooms, a simulation hospital, and a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

PhD, DNP, or MSN with PMHNP certification required.
Active APRN and RN license or eligibility in Florida before start.
3–5 years progressive clinical experience in psychiatric mental health.
Teaching, precepting, or mentoring in graduate nursing education preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct didactic, simulation, and clinical teaching with PMHNP students.
Provide academic and clinical advising to students in the PMHNP program.
Support curriculum delivery and participate in course and program outcomes evaluation.
Collaborate on scholarship and publications and contribute to research activities.
Engage in community and academic service and expand clinical partnerships.
Mentor students in scholarly projects and clinical training experiences.
