Job summary

Our client, a global software services provider, seeks a PM/Technology Manager to lead Data Warehouse, BI, and reporting initiatives. Responsibilities include managing DW/ETL projects, designing data architectures, and delivering on-time results using PMI-aligned practices.

You will oversee schedules, ROIs, and risk management, coordinating with sponsors and stakeholders across multiple domains in North America. Strong expertise in SSIS, Informatica, DataStage, and SQL Server is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project management experience (inception to implementation).
• 6+ years leading Data Warehouse and BI projects.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and deliverables.
• Understanding of ETL and reporting processes related to project delivery (SSIS, ETL, DW, data integration).
• Familiar with SDLC and PMI framework.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Create project charter and work plan; track schedule progress and report weekly.
• Establish project organization and define roles; document risks and mitigation plans.
• Manage scope, issues, and communication; build and evaluate the team; negotiate resources.

Job Description

• The candidate must have skills and experience managing Data Warehouse, BI, and Reporting related projects.
• Must be familiar with the tasks necessary to design and build a Data Warehouse, and associated multiple reporting needs.
• Must have experience managing projects including SSIS/ ETL/ DW/ Data integration / SQL Server / Design / Analysis/ other ETL tools like Informatica and Data Stage
• Must understand Data Warehouse concepts and the deliverables associated with Data Warehouse and Reporting projects.
• Follows standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework. Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works closely with project sponsor. Creates project charter, work plan, tracks schedule progress via appropriate metrics, and reports on status on a weekly basis.
• Establishes project organization and methodologies and defines roles and responsibilities. Documents risks and develops mitigation plans.
• Manages scope. Keeps track of project issues and their resolution. Creates and implements a communication plan. Builds an effective team, assigns tasks to team members, and evaluates outcomes. Negotiates resources.
• Communicates to stakeholders and project sponsor. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers. Provides technical support to project team members. Handles complex application features and technical designs.

Specific Skills and Job Requirements:

• 10+ years Project Management Experience, responsible for managing projects from inception to implementation
• Minimum 6+ years experience leading Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence projects
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence concepts and the deliverables associated with these types of projects
• Demonstrated understanding of ETL and reporting processes as they relate to project delivery, e.g. : SSIS/ ETL/ DW/ Data integration / SQL Server / Design / Analysis/ other ETL tools like Informatica and Data Stage
• Knowledge and understanding of the SDLC
• Experience with Waterfall & Agile project methodologies
• 8+ years experience creating detailed project schedules, and managing to them
