Defense Health Agency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Cavazos, TX seeks a Physician (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) to provide evaluations, treatments, and rehab services to maximize independence for patients.

The role covers full spectrum rehab, pain management, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team; qualifications include MD/DO, active license, and PM&R residency completion. Federal pay scale applies.

Qualifications

• Physician PM&R with board-eligible/board-certified credentials in the United States.
• Active medical license in a U.S. state or territory.

Responsabilités

• Provide full range of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation evaluations, treatments and functional training towards maximum independence.
• Prescribe full spectrum of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech, Neuropsychology evaluations, social work services and serve as team leader for rehabilitation services.
• Perform comprehensive pain management using injections, blocks, acupuncture, rehabilitation exercise programs.
• Provide rehabilitation recommendations for patients with chronic conditions (e.g. stroke, spinal cord injury, TBI, MS, joint replacements).
• Order radiology and labs and determine appropriate rehabilitation treatment including drugs and dietary care.
