Job summary

HEALTHCARE RECRUITMENT COUNSELORS is seeking a compassionate Physiatrist/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to provide on-site care at subacute rehab facilities in Johnstown, PA and Hastings, PA. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, autonomy, and strong administrative support.

Qualifications include MD/DO, PA license, DEA registration, and experience in subacute rehab or related fields.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and active Pennsylvania medical license
• Active DEA registration
• Board certification or board eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation preferred
• Experience in subacute rehabilitation, geriatric care, rehabilitation medicine or a related setting required
• Ability to work independently and manage a patient panel
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physiatry evaluations and follow-up visits in subacute rehab settings
• Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal, neurologic, and functional limitations
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on mobility, functional recovery, and pain management
• Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances when clinically appropriate
• Perform therapeutic injections (joint and trigger-point) as indicated
• Collaborate with therapy teams to guide rehabilitation goals
• Complete accurate documentation of assessments, plans, and progress
• Communicate recommendations to facility clinical teams and support care transitions
