Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of New England – Lowell is seeking a full‑time PM&R inpatient physician to join an established, collegial practice. The role focuses on inpatient rehabilitation with a strong emphasis on patient‑centered care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The successful candidate will handle inpatient consultations, coordinate care with a skilled team, and contribute to a high‑quality rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with state medical license or willingness to obtain license
• Board certified or board eligible in PM&R
• Hospital-based physiatry experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Inpatient PM&R consultation and care coordination
• Manage an average caseload of ~20 patients
• Collaborate with internal medicine, nursing and rehab teams to optimize recovery
• No on-call requirement as stated in the posting
