A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and proper storage of all china, glass, and silverware, and ensuring the highest standards of sanitation. He/she also assists the kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas, specifically cleaning equipment, utensils, and the work area. Additionally, he/she helps with proper food storage and rotation.

• Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation.
• Properly store all cleaned china, glass, and silverware, minimizing breakage.
• Wash pots, pans, and utensils following proper procedures, then store them correctly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen and restaurant floors.
• Empty garbage from food and beverage areas into the hotel dumpster.
• Maintain cleanliness of the back dock and dumpster area.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
