Job summary

Business Jet, headquartered at Dallas Love Field, seeks a PM Facilities Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment across the facility, including offices, lounges, and common areas.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing routine janitorial tasks with minimal supervision while following airport safety and chemical handling procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning experience required

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned buildings and surrounding premises in accordance with established daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning schedules.
• Empty waste and recycling receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste and recycling to designated disposal areas.
• Sweep, dust mop, wet mop, vacuum, and clean hard-surface flooring and carpeted areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, stalls, walls, mirrors, fixtures, vents, and dispensers.
• Clean and detail offices, conference rooms, kitchens, communal areas, pilot lounges, sleeping rooms, lobbies, stairwells, and other assigned spaces.
• Perform high and low dusting and clean furniture, desks, tables, doors, walls, windows, fixtures, baseboards, floor trim, and other surfaces.
• Clean and polish partition glass, windows, elevator surfaces, and other glass surfaces, removing fingerprints, smudges, and marks.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, including doorknobs, telephones, handrails, switches, and shared equipment.
• Replenish toilet paper, paper towels, soap, sanitary products, and other facility supplies.
• Remove spills, stains, gum, dirt, and other contaminants using appropriate cleaning procedures.
• Perform scheduled and as-needed deep-cleaning projects, including carpet spot cleaning, interior window cleaning, detailed office cleaning, and other restorative cleaning.
• Clean, inspect, maintain, and properly store custodial equipment after use.
• Maintain custodial closets, chemicals, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Follow established chemical dilution, labeling, storage, and handling procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and follow all applicable safety procedures.

Purpose/Summary:

The PM Facilities Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and professional environment throughout the facility. This position performsroutine janitorial and detailed cleaning duties.

The ideal candidate is dependable,detail-oriented, and able to manage assigned responsibilities with minimalsupervision. They will have an understanding the safe handling of cleaningchemicals and take pride in maintaining a clean and professional facility,while following all facility and airport safety regulations. Previousexperience is preferred; however, training may be provided to a candidate whodemonstrates strong reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness tolearn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

• Perform other related facilities, cleaning, and routine maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning experience required

Skills & Competencies:

• Working knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and appropriate cleaning methods for different surfaces.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and other janitorial supplies, including proper dilution, labeling, handling, storage, and use.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining established cleanliness, appearance, and safety standards.
• Ability to organize work, manage time effectively, and complete assigned duties within established schedules.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, cleaning schedules, safety procedures, chemical labels, and equipment instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
• Ability and willingness to work an assigned PM schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.

Certifications, Licenses, &Badging

• Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the assigned shift.
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, reach overhead and below the waist, twist, and climb stairs.
• Use hands and arms repetitively to wipe, scrub, sweep, mop, vacuum, and operate cleaning equipment.
• Grasp, handle, and manipulate cleaning tools, equipment controls, containers, and supplies.
• Push, pull, and maneuver cleaning carts, vacuums, and other commercial cleaning equipment.
• Lift and carry supplies, waste containers, equipment, and other materials weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Use step stools or ladders, when authorized and properly trained, to clean elevated surfaces.
• Read chemical labels, safety instructions, equipment controls, cleaning schedules, and other written information.
• Communicate and respond to instructions, warnings, equipment sounds, and activity occurring within the work area.
• Safely handle, dilute, apply, and store cleaning chemicals products.
• Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment.

Thisposition works both indoors and outdoors, and occasionally non-climate-controlledareas, including airport ramps, hangars, and service areas. Employees may be exposed to fueling areas with exposure to moving aircraft, fuel operations, loud noise, varying weather conditions, cleaning chemical exposure, and operational hazards such as dust, odors, and slippery surfaces. Strict adherence to airport rules, PPE requirements, and all safety procedures is mandatory. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
