Job summary

Fulton Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Gloversville, NY, is seeking a PM Cook Supervisor to lead evening kitchen operations in our 176-bed facility. You will oversee food preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of meals, and manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.

Qualifications include healthcare cooking certification (ServSafe or Sodexo), at least 2 years of supervisory experience, and strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Certified healthcare cook with ServSafe or Sodexo certification.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a large-scale kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work every other weekend.
• Must be physically able to perform kitchen duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods.
• Bake rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies.
• Supervise kitchen staff in absence of the Food Service Director.
• Work on tray line during meal service.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen.
• Hand wash and sanitize pots and pans.

• Baking a variety of rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies
• Working on tray line during meal service
• General cleaning up of kitchen
• Hand washing and sanitizing of pot and pans
• Related work as required.

Requirements

• Previous management or supervisory experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale cooking
