Job summary

Willard Heating and Cooling is seeking a Plumbing Technician to handle installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of residential plumbing systems. You’ll diagnose issues, explain options to customers, and perform accurate repairs while maintaining records and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Journeyman / Tradesman license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to explain repair vs. replacement options to customers.
• Knowledge of drain machines, camera, and locator equipment.
• High school diploma or GED and a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document work on an iPad, English fluency.

• Execute effective troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes of plumbing issues.
• Perform timely and accurate repairs to resolve plumbing and drain issues.
• Explain to the customer what service is performed and obtain price approval before work.
• Establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
• Educate customers on finance options and maintenance plans.
• Train and mentor apprentices for quick, accurate repairs and installations.
• Maintain detailed records and photos of services.
• Maintain a professional appearance and safety on site and while driving.

Who You Are

Plumbing Technicians willbe responsible forall aspects of the installation, maintenance, inspection, operation, and repair of the plumbing systems in residential homes.This includes installing and repairing sinks, water heaters, toilets, other plumbing fixtures, cleaning drains, as well as appliances including dishwashers and garbage disposals.You will accurately diagnose plumbing problems and communicate with clients the options and upgrades that increase safety and enhance the quality/health of life for homeowners.

• Maintain your truck so that it is always neat and clean on the inside and outside

• Work alongside Customer Service and Dispatch team to ensure overall success of the business

• Maintain detailed records of services, including documenting pictures of before and after services have been completed

• Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving

• Participate actively in all training exercises, morningmeetingsand retreats

• Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick,accuraterepairs and installations

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential plumbing, water heaters, tankless, and filtration

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills

• Journeyman / Tradesmen license or able to obtain within 6 months

• Ability to provide repair versus replacement options to customers

• Knowledge of drain machines, camera, and locaterequipment

• Knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of required tools

• High School Diploma or GED

• Clean driving record

• Basic computer skills, ability to use an iPad to document work

• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in the English language

Compensation & Hours

• CommissionPaybased onexperience

• Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible start and end times depending on business needs)

• Days: Monday - Friday, on call rotation
