Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating in Grand Lake, CO is seeking skilled plumbing/heating professionals to join our team. We offer a stable, community-focused career in the Rockies with years of local trust and a century of excellence.

Responsibilities include installation, repair, and service of water heaters, heating systems, and plumbing fixtures. We value exceptional customer service, code compliance, and teamwork in a family-oriented workplace.

Qualifications

• 2 years of service experience including in-home sales.
• 2 years of experience servicing hydronic/baseboard heating and hot water systems.
• 2 years of experience with forced air furnaces and air handlers.
• Journeyman license preferred; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• General installation and repair services
• Provide Excellent Customer Service
• Diagnose and repair water heaters, water softeners, sewer lines, toilet repairs and all other designated plumbing repairs
• Provide excellent customer service, following the Nexstar model, 6-Step Service System
• Exceed the customer’s expectation
• Demonstrate the qualities, principles and ethics of Grand Lake Plumbing & Heating.
• Know local mechanical codes and apply them practically on each job
• Work with inspectors, suppliers and co-worker technicians to ensure efficient and proper repair or installation while abiding by all codes
• Read and draw simple diagrams; read wiring and piping diagrams
• May perform installation with little supervision when sale cannot be accommodated
• Select replacement equipment and estimate labor and materials for replacement
• Perform soldering, pipe threading, gas leak testing and repair for hydronic heating systems
• Perform heating techniques such as sheet metal fabrication and low voltage control system diagnostic and installation

• In the event you sell a replacement system, and the install cannot be accommodated by the install department or service call counts are slow, you may be required to perform the installation with little supervision
• Must be capable of accurately selecting replacement equipment and components and estimating the associated labor and staple materials needed to complete the replacement
• Must be capable of performing techniques such as soldering, pipe threading, gas leak testing and repair that may be needed for repairs of hydronic heating systems
• Must be capable of performing heating techniques such as basic sheet metal fabrication, low voltage control system diagnostic and installation and hydronic system purging and repair

Requirements:

• 2 years of service experience that includes in-home sales
• 2 years of experience servicing and installing hydronic/radiant baseboard, hot water heat systems
• 2 years of experience servicing forced air furnaces and air handler units
• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Vocational degree preferred
• Journeyman’s License Certification preferred
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
