Job summary

Howard Plumbing LLC in Maryland seeks a journeyman plumber to install, repair and maintain residential and commercial plumbing systems. You will diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and supervise apprenticeship staff on job sites.

The role requires handling estimates, proposals, and budgets; keeping trucks and tools in good order; and upholding a safe work environment. A valid driver’s license and physical stamina are required, with a take-home vehicle offered for residents within AACO.

Qualifications

• 2+ years journeyman plumber experience.
• Experience with cross-connection and current backflow certification.
• Gas fitting experience, able to troubleshoot, diagnose and install propane/natural gas systems.
• Experience in residential plumbing design for remodeling and new construction (ground, rough-in, trim-out).
• Ability to understand and implement sales strategies.
• Willingness to complete all types of plumbing service requests.
• Experience in underground utility installation preferred.
• Heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and personality.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs.
• Ability to perform physically demanding manual labor in all weather conditions.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial plumbing systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems.
• Maintain truck, tools, and equipment in working order.
• Prepare work estimates, proposals, and job budgets.
• Supervise and mentor apprentice plumbers.
