Job summary

ENCON Heating & AC is seeking an experienced plumber to join our Stamford team. The ideal candidate has strong residential and/or commercial plumbing experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality work.

As a full-service mechanical contractor with more than 50 years of experience, we provide HVAC, plumbing, heating, cooling, and energy solutions across CT, NY, and NJ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years servicing plumbing equipment.
• High School Diploma.
• Ability to operate a computer and assigned software (including email).
• Knowledge of normal safety practices pertaining to the trade.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, flexible and team player.
• Good communication skills; written and verbal.
• Positive attitude with good organizational skills. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing repairs and installations, including kitchens, bathrooms, gas lines, and waterlines.
• Install and repair water heaters (standard and tankless).
• Handle tub, shower, toilet, and faucet installations.
• Diagnose and repair leaks and plumbing issues.
• Repair and maintain pool heating systems.
• Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Accurately document work performed and report issues as needed.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies.

Eligibility Requirements

• Valid drivers license.
• Employment/education will be verified.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools and small parts.
• Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely.Strong hand-eye coordination and balance.
• Capacity to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
