Job summary

Southern Mechanical is seeking a skilled Plumbing Journeyman to join our team. You’ll perform installations, repairs, maintenance, and service calls for multi-family projects, working independently and with the crew to deliver quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and service calls.
• Diagnose plumbing issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret plumbing plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain plumbing issues and recommended solutions in easy-to-understand terms.
• Build positive customer relationships and identify appropriate products and services based on customer needs.
• Work closely with customer service representatives, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Train and mentor plumbing helpers and less-experienced team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Complete service documentation, paperwork, and job records accurately and on time.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

What You'll Do:

As a Plumbing Journeyman, you will be responsible for performing plumbing installations, repairs, maintenance, and service work for multi-family andcommercialcustomers.

• Journeyman plumbing experience required

• EPA certification preferred/ required as applicable to the position
• OSHA 10 certification preferred
• Experience with multi-family plumbing construction or service is a plus
