Job summary

Happyhiller is seeking a skilled plumber to perform comprehensive plumbing repairs and installations on-site in Memphis, TN. You will ensure code-compliant work, read blueprints, and coordinate with supervisors to lay out pipe routes.

The role requires reading maps or GPS, flexibility to work weekends and call shifts, and a high school diploma or GED. We offer standard benefits and a state-of-the-art facility for training.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience preferred but not required in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse plumbing service issues.
• Must be able to use a tablet, smartphone and read a map or follow GPS.

Responsibilities

• Perform all plumbing repairs and replacements to code.
• Check slopes for conformance to requirements with levels or lasers.
• Cover pipes with earth or other materials.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using welding, cement, or glue.
• Install or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systems.
• Install or use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.
• Grade or level trench bases using tamping machines or hand tools.
• Lay out pipe routes following instructions or blueprints and coordinate layouts with supervisors.
• Align and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.
• Dig trenches to required depths by hand or with trenching tools.
• Operate mechanized equipment such as trucks, rollers, dump trucks, front-end loaders, or backhoes.
• Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement using indicators.
• Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.
