Ongaro and Sons, a family-operated plumbing service serving Marin and Sonoma Counties, seeks an experienced Plumbing Install Technician to install fixtures, piping, water heaters, and related equipment. Strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to quality are essential.

The role requires 5+ years of plumbing installer experience, the ability to work independently, and excellent customer service. A company truck and tools are provided, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience as Plumbing Installer.
• Ability to read plumbing schematics and isometric drawings.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with iPad and digital tools.
• Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations and repairs on fixtures, water piping, waste piping, gas piping, filtration, pumps, water heaters, tankless water heaters, and related systems.
• Replace parts or entire systems in homes or light commercial locations in Sonoma & Marin Counties.
• Provide excellent customer service aligned with company values.
• Understand how plumbing systems should function and operate.
• Read manuals and work orders to complete repairs or installations.
• Coordinate with HVAC and electrical referrals as needed.
• Educate customers on new systems and operation.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Plumbing Install Technician to perform professional installations on a variety of plumbing systems and equipment. This role requires expertise in installing fixtures, water piping, waste piping, gas piping, water heaters, tankless water heaters, filtration, pumps, and other plumbing equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performing installations and/ or repairs on fixtures, water piping, waste piping, gas piping, filtration, pumps, water heaters/ tankless and DHW return systems (recirculation).
• To be able to perform repairs or to replace a part. Or ultimately replacing the whole system without supervision in homes or light commercial locations In Sonoma & Marin Counties.
• Providing excellent customer services to introduce or continue the customers experience while dealing with our company and our core values.
• Strong understanding of how a Plumbing system or equipment should optimally work.
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform the required repair or install.
• Identify HVAC issues (ductwork concerns, equipment condition) and call in to the office to get one of our HVAC technicians scheduled out to evaluate as a referral.
• Identify Electrical issues and call in to the office to get one of our electricians scheduled out to evaluate as a referral.
• Educate customers on their new systems and operations of their equipment.
• Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
• Performing other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma/GED
• At least 5 years or more experience as a Plumbing Installer
• Able to follow directions and read plumbing schematics and isometric drawings
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to use an iPad effectively
• Clean driving record
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
