Job summary

Thermon is seeking a Plumbing I on the Morristown, TN shop floor to assemble, fit, and install piping systems for industrial boilers. You will read blueprints, select pipes and fittings, and ensure water, steam and gas flow meets specifications under supervision.

You will work with welders and electricians, follow safety guidelines, and develop basic pipefitting skills. The role offers a stable, hands-on environment with training and opportunities within a global leader in heat and power

Qualifications

• Needs basic plumbing knowledge and ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to interpret drawings, calculate measurements, and identify symbols.
• Willingness to learn cutting, threading, and assembly techniques.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, threading, and bending pipes.
• Reading blueprints and piping schematics.
• Assembling and installing pressure-tested piping systems.
• Working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper.
• Ensuring compliance with ASME and industry codes.
• Collaborating with welders and electricians on installations.
• Following safety guidelines and work instructions.
• Assisting with pipe layouts and material prep.
