Job summary

Rescue Rooter is hiring Plumbing Helpers to support experienced plumbers with residential plumbing installations, repairs, and underground work. This role offers hands-on training and potential career growth into a Plumbing Technician or Service Plumber.

You will join a nationwide provider of residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services with a strong emphasis on safety and service excellence. This full-time, year-round position comes with benefits after a short eligibility period.

Qualifications

• Plumbing or drain cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Previous work experience and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments including digging and lifting equipment.
• Solid interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean, working condition.
• Keep job sites organized and assist with clean‑up throughout service and installation work.
• Assist plumbers with plumbing repairs, plumbing installations, and pipe work under supervision.
• Help prepare job sites and materials for plumbing work as directed by supervisors.
• Interact professionally with homeowners and city officials when needed.
• Support underground plumbing work including digging, trenching, and line repairs.
• Perform general labor tasks as needed to support plumbing technicians.
