Job summary

Design Hire LLC seeks an experienced Plumbing Engineer or Designer to support plumbing system design for healthcare, education, and commercial building projects in Syracuse, NY. You will develop layouts, calculations, equipment selections, and construction documents while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has strong building systems experience, can manage design responsibilities from concept through construction, and is proficient in Revit and/or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of plumbing design experience in building engineering, MEP, or AEC.
• Experience designing plumbing for healthcare, K-12, higher education, commercial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of domestic water, sanitary, storm drainage, natural gas systems.
• Experience with plumbing calculations, equipment selection, piping layouts, codes, and construction docs.
• Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD; degree and PE license preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and travel to project sites in Syracuse.

• Coordinate plumbing systems with HVAC, electrical,architectural, structural, and other building disciplines.
• Support construction administration, site visits, fieldcoordination, and resolution of design and installation issues.
