Job summary

Environmental Air Systems is seeking a skilled plumber for on-site work in the field. The candidate will interpret blueprints and submittals, understand installation sequencing for roof drains, rough-ins and fixture setting, and ensure compliance with codes.

You will mentor plumbing helpers, maintain safety standards, and repair, cap and test piping in commercial installations, while operating necessary tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• Works with blueprints and submittals and understands installation sequencing for plumbing systems.
• Knows code requirements and limitations.
• Familiar with pipe, valve and fittings types and functions; can work independently and solve minor coordination issues.
• Must maintain professionalism at all times.
• Plumber will mentor plumbing helpers.
• Familiar with safety items and PPE.
• Licensed to operate all required equipment.
• Able to repair, cap and test plumbing piping in commercial installs.
• Proficient with craft tools and aware of occupational hazards.

Responsibilities

• Repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping in a normal commercial installation; perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
• Proficient with craft tools and safe operation; aware of hazards from ladders to ditches.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Working knowledge of blueprints and submittals as well as sequencing aspects of installation of all plumbing, including roof drains, rough in, and setting fixtures.
• General knowledge of code requirements and limitations.
• Knowledge of the different types of pipe, valves, fittings, as well as their function within the system. Must be able to work independently, and be able to solve small problem situations that occur during normal coordination with other trades.
• Should be professional at all times.
• Plumber will be the instructor to the plumbing helpers assigned to them.
• Will need to be familiar with all safety items
• License to operate all equipment necessary to perform your job.
• Will be expected to repair, cap, and test all types of plumbing piping in a normal commercial installation, and any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
• You are expected to be proficient with all craft related tools, equipment, and the safe operation of such. Must have knowledge of all occupational hazards, from ladders to ditches.

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels

• OSHA 10 construction certification obtained within the last 5 years is required.
