Job description

We are seeking a career-driven and dependable Full-Time Plumber's Assistant with 0-3 years of experience to assist plumbers with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial facilities including office buildings, retail centers, hotels, and more. Hourly pay starting at $20-$26 based on experience and skill. This position offers valuable hands-on experience while developing the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in the plumbing trade.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious and possesses problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess situations, identify root causes, and develop practical, effective solutions. Working alongside experienced plumbers, you will assist with plumbing installations, material handling, equipment preparation, and jobsite organization while gaining practical experience on commercial construction projects.

• Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, and equipment.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install pipe and plumbing components under supervision.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, plumbing drawings, specifications, and isometric diagrams.
• Support plumbers during troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Assist with testing plumbing systems and equipment using appropriate tools and testing devices.
• Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable plumbing codes.
• Complete assigned work accurately while following direction from supervisors and licensed plumbers.
• Gather, stage, transport, organize, and properly store tools, materials, and equipment at job sites.
• Travel to project locations as required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to work from ladders and elevated work platforms.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces as required.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting, reaching, and hand movements.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment.

Work is performed primarily in commercial, industrial, and construction environments. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, construction site hazards, elevated work areas, noise, dust, energized equipment, and physically demanding work activities. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn in accordance with company policies and applicable safety regulations.
