Job summary

Skilled Trades Services is seeking a skilled pipefitter to join our commercial team in Jacksonville, FL. You will install, lay out, and assemble piping systems—Copper and Weld pipe up to 5"—to project specs, safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, installing supports, and pressure testing for inspection turnover. A strong safety mindset and ability to read prints are required.

Qualifications

• Experience reading prints and takeoffs from drawings.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to OSHA/site protocols.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Reliable transportation and Monday–Friday, 40-hour availability.
• Hands-on experience with Well Pipe up to 5 inches (commercial).

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipe per drawings.
• Install hangers, verify slopes, elevations, and clearances.
• Stage materials with foreman; keep work area clean and safe.
• Pressure test, troubleshoot, and finalize systems for inspection.

Project: Join a commercial team building out an educational facility. You’ll handle installation, layout, and assembly of piping systems—including Copper Pipe & Weld Pipe up to 5\" in diameter—to spec, safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipe (up to 5\") per drawings and codes
• Install hangers/supports and verify slopes, elevations, and clearances
• Work with foreman to stage materials and maintain a clean, safe work area
• Pressure test, troubleshoot, and finalize systems for inspection/turnover

Requirements

• Clean backgroundand ability topass a pre-employment drug screening
• Reliable transportationand consistentMonday–Friday, 40-hour availability

Pay Rate: $28-$30/hr DOE
