Job summary

Foster Plumbing & Heating is seeking an experienced plumber to efficiently undertake leak repairs and install new piping. This role requires knowledge of hydraulic systems, teamwork, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.

You will work on-site on various residential and commercial projects to ensure well-functioning water and waste systems. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of plumber experience, reads blueprints, communicates clearly, and maintains high safety and accuracy while adapting

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plumber (1-3 years experience minimum)
• Understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial buildings
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly with a great deal of patience
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
• Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship helpful but not required
• Valid driver's license without negative points

Responsibilities

• Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g. electrical wiring)
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Repair/Install fixtures (e.g. sinks) etc.
• Install appliances (e.g. dishwasher, disposal, refrigerator)
• Install and maintain gas lines
• Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems

Jobsites are in the Charlottesville area.

You must have transportation to the jobsites. Carpooling is a potential option for the right candidate.

Job Overview
