Job summary

A&M Warshaw Plumbing & Heating in New York City is seeking a skilled plumber mechanic to install and repair water supply lines and drainage systems. You will work on residential and commercial projects, reading blueprints and building codes to determine optimal procedures.

The role requires the ability to read schematics, perform soldering, brazing, and provide cost estimates while upholding strict safety policies. Prior plumbing experience and valid NYC certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, maintenance, or related field.
• OSHA 40-hour certification required.
• Possess NYC Gas Certification Card with Department of Buildings or eligible to apply.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to handle physical workload.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all types of Plumbing tasks from minor repairs to new construction in residential/commercial buildings
• Review show drawings, blueprints and building codes to determine optimal work procedures
• Layout and rough carriers/fixtures, crotons, and stacks
• Know how to sweat and braze
• Prepare written work cost estimates for clients
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in plumbing, maintenance, or other related field
• Possess have 40 hour OSHA Certification, FDNY F/G 60
• Possess or be eligible to apply for NYC Gas Certification Card with Department of Buildings
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
