Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED.
• Three years of journey level plumber experience.
• Texas Journeyman Plumber license or ability to obtain within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, maintains, repairs, modifies, installs, and replaces plumbing systems in buildings and laboratories.
• Locates and repairs leaks in various piping systems handling water, gases, or refrigerants.
• Performs preventive maintenance on pumps, controls, and valves; replaces backflow preventers and safety showers.
• Clears drains and replaces lavatory fixtures.
• Participates in On-Call program and communicates work order status with supervisors.
• Reads blueprints and follows written and oral instructions, ensuring code compliance.
