Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Senior Plumber in Addison, IL to lead install, repair, and maintenance projects, reading blueprints and coordinating with clients and contractors.

You will mentor junior plumbers, ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety standards, document work and material usage, and contribute to timely project completion with a focus on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ years of proven plumbing experience.
• Valid plumbing license or as required.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Willingness to mentor junior plumbers.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues or defects.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing system layouts and installations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and timelines.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects.
• Carry out installations and repairs of plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions.
• Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior plumbers and helpers.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Necessary license as required.
• Proven experience as a Plumber with 6+ years of work experience in the industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Expertise in interpreting and analyzing complex blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and advanced plumbing techniques.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and manage plumbing teams effectively.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license.
