Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program plus journey-level experience, or 1 year as Plumber I, or equivalent combination.
• Respond to repair orders and prioritize repairs, estimate costs, and procure materials.
• Design and lay out plumbing systems, inspect for leaks and ensure code compliance.

Responsibilities

• Install water, waste, steam, and gas lines and fixtures per code.
• Perform preventive maintenance to prolong equipment life.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems and backflow devices.
• Review blueprints and interpret schematics for installations.
• Provide training and guidance to other maintenance staff.
