Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Plumber to lead plumbing projects, perform advanced installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems in our San Antonio service team.

The role requires strong knowledge of plumbing codes, excellent problem-solving, and leadership abilities to guide junior plumbers and apprentices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years in a plumbing role or as Plumber I.
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Extensive experience interpreting and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing projects, including new installations, remodeling, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan layouts and installations.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to discuss requirements, timelines, and progress.
• Supervise and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices.
• Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using advanced tools and techniques.
• Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify and diagnose complex issues.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and project progress.
• Train and mentor junior plumbers, apprentices, and helpers.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations.
