Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Plumber II to support a busy facility in St. Louis, Missouri. In this hands-on role you will inspect, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems to keep the site safe and fully operational.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read blueprints and work orders. Knowledge of codes and PPE requirements is essential, with a Journeyman license preferred.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining commercial, institutional, or industrial plumbing systems.
• Ability to read work orders and basic plumbing drawings or schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer-service, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, valves, piping, and related equipment.
• Diagnose leaks, clogs, low water pressure, drainage problems, and other plumbing failures, then complete effective corrective repairs.
• Perform routine facility inspections and identify plumbing issues before they result in equipment failure or service disruption.
• Complete scheduled preventive-maintenance inspections and daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists.
• Repair or replace defective fixtures, faucets, washers, valves, fittings, and damaged piping; clear clogged drains and restore proper flow.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and plumbing specifications as needed to complete assigned work.
• Document completed work, communicate major maintenance needs, and recommend appropriate corrective action.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer and facility maintenance requests.
• Follow applicable plumbing codes, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE requirements, and all Aramark and site safety policies.

Required:

• Two or more years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining commercial, institutional, or industrial plumbing systems.
• Working knowledge of water-supply, drainage, waste, vent, piping, valves, fixtures, and related plumbing systems.
• Ability to use plumbing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to read work orders, technical instructions, and basic plumbing drawings or schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, customer-service, and organizational skills.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Preferred:

• Experience in a large commercial, institutional, manufacturing, healthcare, or campus facility.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems.
• Journeyman plumber license or other applicable plumbing credential.
• Knowledge of backflow prevention, domestic water, sanitary waste, and storm-drainage systems.
