Job summary

Service Experts in Fairfax, VA is seeking an experienced plumber to lead installations, repairs, and maintenance across residential and commercial sites. Candidates should have 2+ years in plumbing, strong knowledge of codes, and the ability to read blueprints.

You will collaborate with clients and teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety and quality throughout projects in the Northern Virginia region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a plumbing role.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing codes and best practices.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing projects, including installations, remodeling, repairs, and maintenance.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specs to plan layouts.
• Ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members.
• Train and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices.
• Inspect and diagnose complex plumbing issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead plumbing projects, including new installations, remodeling, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing system layouts and installations.
• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to discuss project requirements, timelines, and progress.
• Supervise and provide guidance to junior plumbers and apprentices.
• Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using advanced tools and techniques.
• Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods.
• Conduct thorough inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose complex issues or defects.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
• Train and mentor junior plumbers, apprentices, and helpers.
• Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Plumber; 2+ years in a plumbing role.
• Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Extensive experience in interpreting and analyzing blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid driver’s license.
