Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is hiring a Plumber I to install, maintain, and repair water, steam, and medical gas systems across hospital facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance and respond to outages, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in a clinical setting.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years plumbing experience, a valid Florida driver's license, and the ability to work varied shifts. Travel between Moffitt facilities may be required as part of the duties.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for plumbing and associated systems and equipment in a hospital/clinic environment.
  • Maintains and repairs water, steam, condensate, pneumatic, fuel oil, natural gas, medical gasses, fire main, soil drain and sewer piping, valves, pumps, traps, regulators, and fittings.
  • Documents PM tasks, materials, and time spent; ensures safety and reliability.
  • Responds to emergencies and communicates effectively with leadership; may provide guidance to others.

Responsibilities: • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for plumbing and associated systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by the management team. • Ensures that preventive maintenance (PM) tasks are properly completed in a timely manner, documented and materials and time spent are also documented appropriately. • Performs inspections, maintenance and repair while providing a safe environment for patients, team members and visitors. • Demonstrates ability to perform as required: demonstrate knowledge of fire alarm response, demonstrate knowledge of Incident response, demonstrate knowledge of Response to Utility losses, demonstrate the ability to respond to an emergency, demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with leadership. • Develops technical training parameters. Trains and develops other team members working in the plumbing trade. • Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED • Three (3) Years Plumbing experience is required. • Valid FL Driver's License required upon hire. • Ability to work various work shifts and/or weekends as needed. • Ability to travel between other Moffitt Cancer Center facilities. • Evidence of a good driving record and maintain a good record per Moffitt policy. Preferred Experience • One (1) Year High-rise Plumbing system experience is preferred. • One (1) Year Mechanical system experience is preferred. • One (1) year of supervisory or project lead experience.**Salary Range**$26.32 - $40.14*Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.*
