Overview

Plumber Helper II plays a vital role in supporting field operations by assisting mechanics and skilled tradespeople with daily tasks on active job sites. This position is responsible for handling tools and materials, aiding in the positioning and assembly of construction components, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. By performing routine duties and anticipating the needs of the lead mechanic, the role contributes directly to project efficiency and quality.

The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative, dependability, and a strong willingness to learn. Adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and professional conduct is essential. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in diverse outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout.
  • Places and moves equipment and materials.
  • Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required).
  • Transports and furnishes the mechanic with materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.
  • Performs other routine duties.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules.
  • Ability to inspect tools.
  • Ability to anticipate what mechanic needs next.
Qualifications
  • Two to three years of experience.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Positive attitude and keeps a good morale on-site.
  • Has hand tools to perform the task.
