Enervise is seeking a Commercial Service Plumber in Dayton, OH to diagnose and repair commercial plumbing issues, install and service water heaters, boilers, and piping, and work directly with customers in industrial facilities. This hands-on role emphasizes safety and quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, a journeyman background or equivalent, understands the Ohio Plumbing Code, reads blueprints, and can pass background checks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional plumbing experience; Journeyman level encouraged.
• Trade school or plumbing apprenticeship completed.
• Strong commercial/industrial plumbing service and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of Ohio Plumbing Code and ability to work to code.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and system layouts.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record; pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair commercial plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, and pipe problems.
• Service and replace water heaters, pumps, backflow systems, fixtures, and related components.
• Maintain and repair boiler and water-system equipment; assist with boiler installations.
• Install and repair piping for water, gas, waste, and vent systems per code.
• Read blueprints to plan layouts, routes, fixtures, and equipment installation.
• Estimate labor and material needs; coordinate with other departments to stay on schedule.
• Perform light electrical work related to water heaters, pumps, and motors as needed.
• Participate in on-call plumbing rotation.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a hands-on service role for a skilled commercial plumber who can troubleshoot problems, make repairs, and complete work safely and in line with Ohio plumbing code. You will work directly with customers in commercial and industrial facilities and help ensure each job is completed with quality craftsmanship and professional service.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair commercial plumbing issues, including leaks, clogged drains, broken water and sewer lines, fixtures, valves, and piping.
• Service and replace water heaters, circulating pumps, backflow systems, plumbing fixtures, and related components.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boiler and water-system equipment; assist with boiler installations as needed.
• Install and repair water, gas, waste, and vent piping using appropriate materials and fittings.
• Read blueprints and drawings to plan plumbing layouts, pipe routes, fixtures, and equipment installation.
• Inspect job sites, identify material and equipment needs, estimate labor and material requirements, and help keep work on schedule.
• Perform light electrical work related to water heaters, pumps, and motors when required.
• Coordinate with other departments, transport equipment to job sites, maintain a clean work area, and complete electronic service records.
• Participate in the on-call plumbing rotation.

WHAT YOU BRING

• 4+ years of professional plumbing experience; Journeyman-level experience is strongly encouraged.
• Trade school or successful completion of a plumbing apprenticeship.
• Strong commercial/industrial plumbing service and troubleshooting experience.
• Working knowledge of water distribution, drainage, waste, vent, backflow, water heater, boiler, pump, and fixture systems.
• Ability to use plumbing tools and equipment and perform soldering, brazing, and welding.
• Knowledge of the Ohio Plumbing Code and the ability to complete work to code.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and system layouts.
• Strong communication, customer-service, and basic business-math skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE THAT IS HELPFUL

Experience with HVAC systems, chilled-water and heating-water systems, DWV piping, copper, PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, thermoplastics, backflow preventers, sensor fixtures, water filtration, sump/sewage/ejection pumps, and gas or electric water heaters is a plus, but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand, walk, reach, grip, stoop, crouch, kneel, balance, climb, and work in tight or awkward spaces.
• Ability to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 25 lbs. regularly.
