Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Trade school graduate preferred.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of NYC plumbing code.
• Experience on alteration work including new utility installations.
• Effective communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material lists for jobs and perform inventories.
• Install and maintain waste and soil piping and accessories.
• Install and repair water gas air and vent piping.
• Install and repair steam lines traps strainers and valves.
• Install and repair medical gas vacuum and oxygen systems.
• Install and repair compressed air and acid waste systems.
• Test, repair and maintain standpipe and sprinkler systems.
• Adheres to NYC plumbing code.
• Install and repair all plumbing fixtures.
• Install and repair boiler equipment (pumps, traps, etc.).
• Maintain domestic hot water tanks and distribution stations.
• Maintain main water tank, non-potable water system and cooling towers.

Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Plumber A - Brooklyn.

In this role, the successful candidate Installs and maintains all plumbing within the hospital. Tests and repairs sprinklers and standpipe systems following NYC code requirements. Reads and interprets drawings and blueprints.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required. Trade School Graduate Preferred. 5+ years. Knowledge of NYC plumbing code. Must have experience on alternation work, including new utility installations Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
