Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled plumber to perform installations, repairs, and pipe replacements across hospital systems.

You will maintain heating, water, gas, drainage, and related utilities, read blueprints, and follow safety protocols while working with a team on essential facilities projects.

Strong communication and manual dexterity are required to guide junior staff and coordinate with contractors in a fast-paced healthcare environment in New Hyde Park, NY.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous plumbing experience is required.
• Ability to utilize portable and stationary power tools of the trade and read blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and replaces water, gas, steam, air, waste and vent, drainage and vacuum systems.
• Provides guidance and instructions to Plumber B and other personnel assigned to projects.
• Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.
• Serves as a member of Fire Response Team.
• Assists contractors in shutdown of services and utility systems.
• Performs related duties as required.
