United States Army Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion is seeking qualified individuals for plumber and pipe fitter duties. Train and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including water supply and waste lines, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.
Candidates must meet DoD requirements and complete ASVAB testing to qualify for this Army occupation. Training includes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training, with opportunities for civilian career
Army plumbers and pipe fitters are responsible for installing and repairing plumbing and pipe systems.
Job training for a plumber requires 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field with on-the-job instructions, including practice with carpentry and masonry tools.
