Job summary

Northeast Baptist Hospital seeks a skilled Plumber to perform installations, renovations and repairs across the hospital and associated properties. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and collaborating with a healthcare facilities team.

Qualifications

  • Trade school education preferred for advancement.
  • 3–5 years of plumbing experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plumbing installations, renovations and repairs throughout the Hospital and related properties.
  • Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Reads blueprints and diagrams to install plumbing systems.
  • Operates and maintains plumbing-related equipment.
  • Conducts tests to ensure code and safety compliance.
  • Maintains preventive maintenance program for the plumbing system.
  • Leads emergency repairs and work crews as needed.
  • Works on generators and A/C chillers as required.

Job Summary

FULL-TIME DAYS
The Plumber performs plumbing installations, renovations and/or repairs throughout the Hospital and associated properties. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.


Responsibilities

General Functions:



  • Performs plumbing assignments for facility

  • Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing system in hospital, new installations and replaced old fixtures

  • Studies blueprints, plumbing diagrams, etc. and installs plumbing systems and fixtures as ordered

  • Operates and maintains any equipment in the plumbing field

  • Performs tests to insure installations comply with safety regulations and codes

  • Maintains PM program on plumbing system in hospital

  • Takes lead role in emergency repairs and work crews

  • Operates and maintains generators

  • Works on generators and A/C chillers , maintain and tests

  • Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively

  • Maintains safe environment

  • Addresses patient population-specific needs

  • Participates in Performance Improvement activities


Qualifications


  • MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent

  • PREFERRED EDUCATION: Trade School

  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 to 5 years in plumbing trade.

  • PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical and carpentry

  • REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas Journeyman Plumber license
