Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an experienced Plumber for residential and light commercial service, repair, and installation. You will diagnose issues, interpret blueprints, ensure code compliance, and manage pricing with customers.

Responsibilities include maintaining service vehicles, supporting inventory, and leveraging leads. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug screens are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable plumbing experience in residential service/maintenance.
  • Knowledge of local and national plumbing codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Basic change order cost estimating experience.
  • Computer proficiency to include MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential and light commercial service calls to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues.
  • Identify potential problems to prevent premature breakdowns/callbacks.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems carrying water, waste, and fuel in heating.
  • Inspect water and gas systems to ascertain malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, test joints, and pipe systems.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements.
  • Review blueprints and building codes to determine work details.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, ream, and install pipe and pipe fittings.
  • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances or fixtures using hand or power tools.
  • Maintain clean and stocked service vehicle; participate in inventory and truck inspections.
  • Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use safely.
  • Provide pricing to customers for approval prior to work.
  • Retain 90% of Membership Clients and maintain 85% appointment conversion in homes.
  • Maximize lead opportunities per company plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Plumber

Plumber performs diagnostic, service, and installation of plumbing in residential and light commercial environments and ensure that work is performed in accordance with relevant codes.

Responsibilities
  • Perform residential and light commercial service calls to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues.

  • Retains 90% of Membership Clients and maintains an 85% appointment conversion ratio in the home.
  • Maximizes lead opportunities based on company’s business plan.

Qualifications
  • GED or High School Diploma.
  • Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable plumbing experience in a residential service and maintenance operation.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Basic change order cost estimating experience.
  • Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
Physical Requirements
  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Ability to work outdoors, in extreme temperatures, wet/humid environments, and/or with vibration
  • Working with mechanical and chemical hazards and conditions including fumes, odors, dusts, gases, and/or poor ventilation
  • Ability to climb, talk, crouch, stand, balance, reach, grasp, pull, lift, see, hear, and operate tools and vehicles
