Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a PLM-focused role in Cary, NC to lead PLM coordination and analytics across engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing. The candidate will work with Teamcenter, Creo, and EDS, driving data-driven decisions for NPI and CPI programs.

The role requires collaboration with multiple teams, setting quality metrics, and communicating key PLM issues to leadership while supporting dashboard publication and system validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields.
• Experience with Teamcenter or another PLM software.
• Understanding of Teamcenter’s engineering drawing release process.
• Awareness of the roles of engineering and other teams in Teamcenter.
• Ability to work with many different disciplines such as engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and manufacturing.
• Experience with Creo and electronic data systems (EDS).
• Basic knowledge of data science and how it is used at Caterpillar.
• Knowledge of structure manager and bill of material (BOM) tools.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or other web-based data warehouses.
• Experience creating dashboards with PowerBI or Tableau.
• Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and current product improvement (CPI).

Responsibilities

• Act as BCP single point of contact for PLM
• Anticipate and plan for future PLM needs and funding
• Work with corporate PLM team and attend PLM meetings
• Set quality metrics for Teamcenter and achieve them
• Prioritize top PLM issues and communicate to leadership
• Work with end users to solve problems and address concerns
• Maintain standard work for PLM
• Lead projects to address priorities from product teams
• Collaborate with analytics team to collect and report telematics data
• Publish dashboards to support BCP product development
• Study Teamcenter data analytics for NPI and CPI decisions
• Assist validation of new PLM software versions and advocate for business needs
