Job summary
Pi-Square Technologies LLC is seeking a PLC Engineer to design, validate, and support PLC/HMI solutions for automotive embedded testing and controls. You will lead test equipment specifications, ensure safety/compliance, and collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
The role requires 3+ years in test/controls engineering, deep Rockwell/NI tool experience, and strong problem-solving skills in a manufacturing context. On-site position in the U.S.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
- Minimum 3 years of test/controls engineering experience.
- Experience with PLC, HMI programming and safety systems design.
- Experience with Rockwell software and NI tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidelines for design and selection of test equipment and protocols.
- Support, service, and troubleshoot test equipment and electrical systems.
- Develop test equipment specs with OSHA compliance and safety focus.
- Enforce safety expectations and document hazards for safe operations.
- Lead cost-out initiatives and participate in Lean/Six Sigma projects.
- Coordinate with production, quality, EHS, and vendors to meet project goals.
- Apply ADKAR change management and manage MOC processes.
