Job summary

Natural Systems Utilities in Fall River, MA, is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to maintain and optimize PLC/HMI-based control systems across the plant. You will troubleshoot electrical panels, pumps, motors, valves, and process equipment to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires PLC programming experience with Direct Logic and Allen-Bradley, 3 years electrical controls experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license.

• 3 years PLC programming experience.
• 3 years electrical controls experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control panels, instrumentation, and related components.
• Develop, update, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC and HMI programs and control systems.
• Install, test, and commission electrical systems, including control panels, conduit, fittings, wiring, and related equipment.
• Work safely with high-voltage systems and power distribution equipment in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and process-control issues that affect plant operations.
• Assist with repairing and replacing pumps, blowers, motors, valves, process equipment, and related components.
• Notify supervisors of equipment failures, operational disruptions, process concerns, repair needs, safety issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Perform work safely, independently, and efficiently.
• Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during emergencies, system failures, or critical operational needs.
