Job summary

KDC/ONE Columbus is seeking an Industrial Automation and PLC Controls Technician to support our Columbus, Ohio facility. You will analyze equipment malfunctions, diagnose PLC issues, and update programs while adhering to SOPs and NEC codes.

The role requires a high school diploma, 4 years in a production environment with PLCs, and formal electrical training. On-site work at our New Albany facility offers growth opportunities and a clear path for advancement.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in a production environment (preferably FDA regulated) with PLC systems, conveyor systems, and electrical control systems.
  • Formal electrical training through a trade school, military program, or apprenticeship; or a minimum of six years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment and machinery malfunctions and initiate corrective actions to restore proper operation.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues using electronic test devices and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC applications and edit programs pertaining to PLCs.
  • Perform electrical wiring for industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Calculate appropriate sizing for wiring, breakers, and transformers for facility equipment and machinery.
  • Order parts required to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
