Job summary

Cybage Software is seeking an onshore QA Analyst with strong Playwright automation skills to support a digital banking engagement. The ideal candidate combines hands-on web, mobile and API test automation with the ability to coordinate effectively with offshore QA teams to ensure quality across journeys such as onboarding, accounts and loans.

You will design and execute automated tests, enhance the framework, write SQL checks, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while collaborating in Agile

Qualifications

• AI-assisted web, mobile and API automation: proven experience automating tests with AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot.
• Mobile test automation with Appium on Android and/or iOS.
• Automation framework enhancement, extension and refactor as project needs evolve.
• SQL queries for back-end data validation and database testing.
• JIRA and Confluence in Agile: manage stories, defects and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Use AI tools to speed up test design, script generation, refactoring and debugging, while reviewing AI output for accuracy.
• Enhance and extend the automation framework with reusable components and reporting.
• Perform database testing and validate data flow across UI, API and database.
• Translate business requirements into test scenarios, cases and automation candidates.
• Manage automation code in GitHub and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests; log and retest defects in JIRA.
• Validate banking workflows such as onboarding and loans end-to-end.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and document test plans/results in Confluence.
• Coordinate daily with offshore QA team and review their test scripts.
• Report test progress and defect status to client stakeholders.

We are hiring an onshore QA Analyst with strong Playwright automation skills for a digital banking engagement. The ideal candidate brings both abilities: deep hands‑on expertise in web, mobile and API automation, and the ability to coordinate effectively with an offshore QA team.

The applications cover digital banking journeys such as member onboarding, consumer and business banking, and loan products, so accuracy and attention to financial workflows matter.

Roles and responsibilities

• Use AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to speed up test design, script generation, refactoring and debugging, while reviewing all AI output for accuracy.
• Enhance and extend the automation framework as project needs evolve, including reusable components, utilities and reporting.
• Perform database testing, writing SQL queries to validate data integrity, back‑end transactions and data flow across UI, API and database.
• Analyse business requirements and user stories, and turn them into test scenarios, test cases and automation candidates.
• Manage automation code in GitHub (branching, pull requests, code reviews) and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end testing; log, track and retest defects in JIRA.
• Validate banking workflows such as account opening, member onboarding and loan journeys end to end.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and keep test plans and results up to date in Confluence.
• Coordinate daily with the offshore QA team: share priorities, review their test scripts and help resolve blockers.
• Report test progress, execution results and defect status to client stakeholders.

Mandatory skills

• AI-assisted web, mobile and API automation: proven experience automating web, mobile and API tests, using AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot.
• Mobile test automation with Appium: hands‑on Appium experience on Android and/or iOS.
• Automation framework enhancement: ability to enhance, extend and refactor an existing automation framework as project needs require.
• SQL and database testing: writing SQL queries for back‑end data validation and database testing.
• JIRA and Confluence in Agile: working in Scrum/Agile teams, managing stories and defects in JIRA, and documenting in Confluence.

Preferred skills

• Fintech / banking domain: experience testing fintech products, especially banking or credit union applications (account opening, onboarding, payments, loans).
• BDD: working knowledge of Behavior‑Driven Development using Cucumber and Gherkin syntax (Given/When/Then).
