White Bear Lake Area Schools, ISD 624, is seeking a Playground and Lunchroom Substitute Assistant for elementary student supervision. The role involves assisting with behavior monitoring, maintaining safety in playground and cafeteria areas, and supporting a calm environment both indoors and outdoors.

Work is performed under limited supervision of the Principal. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Monitor student behavior as part of a team to maintain a safe, calm playground and cafeteria.
• Assist with maintaining a safe and clean playground area and cafeteria; support supervision when recess/cafeteria supervisors are absent.
• Work outside and inside as conditions allow, under limited supervision of the Principal.

Positions Summary

Playground and Lunchroom Substitute Assistant

Performs support monitoring student behavior as part of a team, assisting with maintaining a safe and clean playground area and cafeteria, maintaining a calm environment, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed outside and inside unless raining or below zero temps. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. The substitute supervisor will be called on days when regular Recess/Cafeteria Supervisors are absent.

Education And /or Experience

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
