Job summary

The Burlington School District seeks paraeducator substitutes for the Early Education Program in Burlington, Vermont. Under the guidance of the Special Education team, you will support language, social-emotional, and motor development in 1:1, small groups, or classroom settings through a play-based approach.

Experience in early childhood is preferred but not required; training is provided. Position is temporary substitute with pay ranging from $18.74 to $19.20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: At least two years post-secondary education or successful completion of the Praxis exam.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the developmental growth of each child across language, social-emotional, and motor skills.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to implement IEP objectives and lesson plans.
• Assist with personal hygiene and daily classroom routines.
• Contribute to a play-based learning environment and data collection as directed.
