Our client in Upington, Northern Cape is seeking an Early Years Specialist focused on Play Therapy to support children aged 3-7 and their families.

You'll apply play-based techniques, collaborate with teachers and psychologists, maintain confidential records, and stay current with best practices in trauma-informed care and child development. This part-time role offers a meaningful, impactful career in a supportive centre.

Formación

• Master's degree in Play Therapy or related field with specialization in Play Therapy.
• Registration with HPCSA as Play Therapist or Psychologist required.
• Experience with play-based interventions for young children.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct assessments to identify emotional, social, and behavioural needs of young children.
• Design and implement individualized play therapy plans using appropriate techniques.
• Facilitate individual and group play therapy sessions to help children express emotions.
• Provide guidance to parents/caregivers on supporting emotional development at home.
• Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, and social workers for coordinated care.
• Maintain confidential records including progress notes and treatment plans.
• Stay updated with best practices in play therapy and early intervention.
• Develop and deliver trainings or workshops for parents and educators.
