Job summary

Denise Louie Education Center (DLEC) is seeking a part-time Play & Learn Facilitator to lead weekly Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups for children five and under in Seattle libraries and parks. You will deliver developmentally appropriate sessions, promote school readiness, and support caregivers with coaching and resources.

Training and flexible scheduling are available. The role emphasizes bilingual storytelling, collaboration with coordinators, and community outreach while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate with children and adults in group and individual settings.
• Bilingual in a language spoken by DLEC parents; Chinese, Vietnamese, Spanish or African language preferred.
• Comfort with using curriculum materials and facilitating developmentally appropriate activities.
• Willingness to participate in training and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean up meeting spaces per safety protocols.
• Plan and facilitate weekly Play & Learn sessions in-person and/or virtually.
• Lead bilingual or multilingual storytime and group activities.
• Collaborate with Coordinators and staff to align with program goals and funding.
• Engage with caregivers to provide coaching and referrals as needed.
• Track attendance and support program reporting.
• Attend trainings and outreach activities.
• Identify and attend relevant meetings and professional development.
