Job summary

Howmet Fastening Systems is seeking a 2nd Shift Processing Technician II, Plating at Carson, CA to set up and operate plating machines, ensuring parts meet print and specification requirements.

Responsibilities include applying copper, nickel, silver, zinc, and cadmium coatings, adjusting voltages, monitoring chemistry, inspecting loads, and training others as needed. Competitive benefits and schedule on-site in Carson.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of plating experience.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 30 pounds.
• Maintains a clean and orderly workplace in accordance with 5S standards.
• Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain plating machines.
• Process parts to meet Government, Manufacturing and Environmental Specifications.
• Clean parts per departmental specifications.
• Inspect plating loads for coverage and adhesion.
• Adjust voltage and current density for plating baths.
• Maintain pH and chemical concentrations in plating baths.
• Purge plating solutions and maintain solution cleanliness.
• Train other operators as required.
